Westfield Olympic Project

Westfield Stratford City - Olympic Newsroom

The Digital Newsroom supplied  full HD, MP4 and SD cuts of news items our dedicated crew shot for distribution worldwide. This footage was unbranded and was royally free Рmeaning it could be used by any news organisation anywhere to give it the impression of a presence at the home of the games.

There were colour pieces about the areas surrounding the park and shopping centre, interviews with athletes and support staff, fan groups and time-lapse footage of views of the Olympic park and stadium.

This footage was downloaded by broadcasters and newspapers including Channel 4, ITV, ITN, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, TV Globo, TVNZ, Ch 7 Australia and many many more around the globe.

We managed a team of media professionals who guided the press from the various pars of the globe through our process, and helped them solve problems that they ran up against while creating the coverage their organisation required.

We also managed social media feeds for the Westfield Media Suite, a function that saw us in the drivers seat of the ninth most influential twitter feed in Stratford for the duration of the games. We posted over 300 tweets and accessed hundreds of thousands of twitter feeds through retweets and favourites on our output.
